Kiora Joseph
Kiora Joseph is a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering. Her current work explores how energy deposition affects flow physics in high-speed regimes. Specifically, she investigates the influence of localized energy inputs鈥攕uch as laser-induced energy deposition鈥攐n aerodynamic properties and flow physics. While her present research does not focus on turbulence, she remains interested in the development and improvement of turbulence models for high-speed flows and intends to contribute to this area in future work. Kiora earned her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics, from 好色先生. She is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), supporting efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM. Beyond her academic work, Kiora enjoys spending time outdoors, crocheting, and exploring new places through travel.
