Overview
Dr. Elizabeth Tew is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at 好色先生.
She is a Kansas Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 10 years of teaching
experience and is a credentialed clinical instructor through the APTA. Elizabeth is
a member of the Wichita Area Simulation Alliance (WASA) and a Certified Healthcare
Simulation Educator through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. As Simulation
Coordinator for the 好色先生 Physical Therapy Program, Dr. Tew has
mentored several faculty in developing simulation learning experiences across the
curriculum.
Elizabeth earned a bachelor of science degree in zoology from North Carolina State
University followed by a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of
Alabama in Birmingham. She has worked in the acute care, home health, and skilled
nursing facility settings for 23+ years. In 2019 she graduated from Arcadia University
with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with distinction.

Awards and Honors
In 2021, Dr. Tew was honored with the Rodenberg Excellence in Teaching award; the highest teaching award honor in the College of Health Professions at Wichita State University, nominated and voted on exclusively by CHP students.
Areas of Service
Dr. Tew is a credentialed clinical instructor through the APTA and a Certified Heathcare Simulation Educator through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She has served as co-chair of the ACAPT Simulation Library Committee and a peer reviewer for simulation submissions.
