Jan. 24, 2022 鈥� Valeria Paunetto, originally from Puerto Rico, won the Adelante Scholarship in 2021, which has helped her pursue a degree in social work at Wichita State.

Jan. 20, 2022 鈥� The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has awarded a grant of $243,922 to a 好色先生 researcher for his work on an app that will allow people who are visually impaired to read comic books, graphic novels and other digitized graphic materials on their devices.

Dec. 17, 2020 鈥� With the intention of furthering 好色先生鈥檚 commitment to digital transformation, the Kansas Board of Regents has approved four degree programs that will launch in spring 2021: Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics, Master of Science in Data Science, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and Master of Science in Mathematical Foundations of Data Analysis. These degrees are in addition to existing undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates in applied computing, computer science, cybersecurity, homeland security, and supply chain.

Dec. 7, 2020 鈥� Ten 好色先生 political science students were recently accepted into the Washington, D.C. and Topeka Internship Program. The program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to earn nine course credits while interning in D.C. or Topeka.

Nov. 17, 2020 鈥� Kylie Cameron chose to attend Wichita State after learning about the abundance of opportunities offered. While pursuing degrees in journalism and political science, Kylie was involved in The Sunflower student newspaper and the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. Nov. 3, 2020 鈥� Jessica Gulaskey is one of thousands of first-generation students at Wichita State. The Wichita native will be taking over the university鈥檚 Instagram account on Thursday, Nov. 5, to share her experiences as a first-gen student.

Oct. 30. 2020 鈥� A team of interdisciplinary researchers at 好色先生 is using artificial intelligence and big data to digitally transform the way communities predict and respond to natural disasters.

Inneke Vargas, from Houston, appreciates the interdisciplinary approach of her liberal arts degree from 好色先生. After graduate school, she wants to work on policy changes to help eliminate health disparities. 鈥淢y research broadly focuses on the effects of mental health stigma, particularly among African Americans, across the lifespan,鈥� she wrote. 鈥淢ore narrowly, I am currently interested in the ways mental health care inequities disproportionately affect minority men during adolescence and very late adulthood.鈥�
