  • Anyone interested in auditioning for our 2025-26 season should fill out an interest form & sign-up for an audition time using the links above. A headshot & bio is required as part of the Interest Form.

How to Prepare

  1. Sign-up for an audition time/day using the link above 
  2. Complete the 2025-26 Season Interest Form by August 19 (link above)
  3. Scripts may be available on Teams as applicable (non-SPA majors use the email above for script assistance)
  4. See specific requirements below for each show

NOW WE ARE A HUNDRED (produced reading)

  • Self tape submittal will be required
    • 2 monologues (max 1 min each)
      • One should be a dramatic and one comedic monologue

Film/TIME STANDS STILL (play)

  • 2 monologues (max 1 min each)
    • One should be a dramatic and one comedic monologue

SPARK Spring Dance Concert

  • No prepared materials needed.
  • Audition process may include learning dance phrases from 1-3 choreographers, improvisation, & dance theatre.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement and ability to see full body (including face).
  • Students may be asked to dance barefoot or in jazz or ballet slippers. No additional footwear is needed for auditions, but if cast in a ballet or jazz-based work, appropriate footwear will be required for the piece.

COMPANY/Jo Zakas Musical Theatre Incubator Program

  • Accompanist will be provided. 
  • Dance call - Aug 27 & 28 @ 6 PM, Heskett Center 144A
  • One-page Essay
    • How you see your personal experience & life perspective in regard to the character/s that you would like to represent in COMPANY. Please be slear about which character/s you would like to play and why.
    • Email essay to Prof. Amy Baker Schwiethale at amy.baker@wichita.edu
    • Deadline: 5:00 PM on August 21, 2025

  • Prepare one 32-bar song and one 60 second monologue (all approximate)

    • Performing material from the show is highly encouraged but not required.
