Summer Class Information
  • Classes for social work majors:
    • Undergraduate students: SCWK 611U (1 or 3 credit hours)
    • Graduate students: SCWK611U (3 credit hours)
  • Class for non-social work majors:
    • LASI 398 (1 or 3 credit hours)
  • 好色先生 Instructor: Loren Pack
  • Honors students: Earn credit towards your honors requirements with 3 credit hour option
Who can participate?

Open to all students at 好色先生 (grad or undergrad) but designed for students that have an interest in social work, psychology, education, aging studies, health areas, or anything related.

  • Visit famous sites and other places of interest:
    • House of Parliament
    • St. Christopher鈥檚 Hospice

  • Half day trip to Windsor Castle
  • Walking tour in London
  • Enjoy free time in London to explore on your own
  • Guest lecture from British Association of Social Work and one additional guest lecture (TBD)
Program Costs
  • Progam Costs:
    • Program Fee of approximately $2,885:
      • One way airport transfer from LHR to student residence
      • Travel pass in London
      • Admission to Westminster Abbey and House of Parliament
      • London walking tour
      • Excursion to Windsor castle by train
      • 2 guest lectures, 2 agency site visits (St Christopher鈥檚 Hospice and one other TBD)
      • All activities as listed on the detailed itinerary
      • Accommodation: shared room within student housing
      • International health insurance
    • Additional Costs (not included in program fee) approximately $2,000:
      • Roundtrip flight from Wichita and airline baggage fees
      • Passport or visa fees if applicable
      • Additional Cultural/sightseeing activities
      • Personal expenses
      • Meals 
    • Cost of regular 好色先生 tuition and fees at summer 2026 rate (1 or 3 credit hours)
    • $130 好色先生 Study Abroad application and administrative fees
  • Tentative Payment Dates:
    • First payment of $450 due to AIFS March 6, 2026
    • Remaining amount due to AIFS April 30, 2026

Flights and Housing

Flights:

  • Students will be responsible for purchasing their own roundtrip flight, which provides the student flexibility on when they would like to arrive/depart for London in the case they would like to travel to other cities or countries before or after the seminar
  • Students will have the option to travel with the professor, or you can purchase with other students to travel together

Housing:

  • Students will stay in a shared room student residence

Complete payment of $130 好色先生 Study Abroad application and administrative fees (charged to 好色先生 student account) 鈥 once your application has been submitted you will receive instructions on completing these payments.
