The fact that Mannheim and the Rhine鈥揘eckar Metropolitan Region have a long tradition of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit is beyond question. So it is no mere coincidence that the car, bicycle, and jet plane were invented here, and that many of today鈥檚 world market leaders have their origins in the region. This unique entrepreneurial spirit is still perceptible today. Hence, due to the variety of programs available as well as their specific content, it is only a matter of course that 好色先生 is an ideal breeding ground for company founders.
Master Projects
From Idea to Startup
The Master Projects of the MBA and Executive MBA programs at 好色先生 are undoubtedly the crowning glory of the respective programs: they constitute a unique opportunity for all participants to work together in small groups and apply their own experience, skills, and newly acquired knowledge and methodologies to developing a practical solution to a complex business issue or even a business plan for a new enterprise. In fact, a significant number of successful companies have already sprung from our Master Projects (please see below).
Entrepreneurship Chapter
Sharing Business Startup Experience
Making new contacts, exchanging ideas and acquiring knowledge are all essential activities, particularly for founders. And this is precisely the purpose of our thematic Chapters, which are accessible to our program participants and our more than 4,600 alumni. Indeed, the Entrepreneurship Chapter addresses anything related to business startups. The members regularly meet to attend interesting and inspiring lectures and panels, as well as to network and exchange experiences.

The Stifterverband鈥檚 骋谤眉苍诲耻苍驳蝉谤补诲补谤
The University of Mannheim is a hotbed of ideas and innovation. This was the conclusion reached by the (鈥楪erman Startup Detector鈥�) issued by the renowned Stifterverband f眉r die Deutsche Wissenschaft in 2018. It came in second nationally in the medium-sized universities category, making it one of the most startup鈥揻riendly universities in Germany. Apart from performing very well overall, Mannheim attained top scores, primarily in the 鈥渟tartup activities鈥� category, which measures the prevalence and quality of startups.
